Good. I'll lock the other thread.
Can't seem to get my boys 'mo juices' going in the new season, or the competition is just getting too good.

I have noticed some sullen changes since the update. I am having problems in the training graph that it will not display training activity for a specific skill. Plus some problems on the federation pages. Reported both of them this morning to Crew on the admin forum.
Have a feeling it is my personal computer problem and not a universal problem for all users.
Having some problems restoring my computer to a previous date so I need to get in touch with my computer support technians. Hope I can get it resolved tomorrow.

Unfortunately, we reach the time limit on the regional leagues and they have started automatically. Looks like next season we will need to shuffle the deck to try to balance the leagues a little better. Good luck to everyone who is participating and apologies to those teams from the Midwest and Pacific Coast who have very small groups.

I think the problem with the Regional leagues is that for the lower division guys, they're not as fun as the divisional leagues we do.

Re: MZUSA Federation #11

That was something I was concerned about as well when we restarted the regionals. Although it is also a good way to see how your team stacks up against the MLS and Div 1 teams. But I can see the frustration of newer or lower level teams about knowing going in that there is little chance of them winning their region.
I thought about offering to pay for the teams who did very poorly in the first regional leagues so that they felt they were getting some value for the tokens they had spent, but didn't have the tokens available to manage that for this round.

I agree as well.. The nice thing of having some sort of cap for each division is that for lower teams.. they get a chance to win something and makes it more fun.
i'll play any league anyway... but the divisional ones i look forward to and actually try to pay some attention to. ;)
Thanks for organizing them. There is work behind all this so i want to recognize it and sure appreciate it.

Mayb If we split the country in half having East vs West might make it better, in addition to this we can have Top Division and Lower division.

I think that might be a good solution. Perhaps two leagues, mixture of east and west teams broken by top and lower division. Could probably work up a table to track how east does against west so there could still be a regional competition element to it.
Right now we have 36 teams involved, so depending on if 12 more teams are interested we could possibly even do three regional leagues - upper, middle, lower. Getting the east west balance might take a little work but I think it could work - need to look at the competitors lists and see where a good place for the split would be.

Looking for 3 teams to join a USA/France friendly league - would prefer Federation members as this competition was proposed by the president of the French Federation.

So how does this friendly league with the French work. We still play against each other right?
-
Re: MZUSA Federation #11
By tree_amigos - 22-05-2013 12:21
Correct. FL is set up with half USA, half French. Not sure if plans exist to compare results of USA teams v French teams outside the standard table or not.
-
Re: MZUSA Federation #11
By nick_shopenko - 23-05-2013 03:16
Usually in clan battles (or federation battles) only the games between opponents count. For a win against a french side we get 1 point, if we lose they get 1 point. No points are awarded for a tie. The games between teams from the same federation don't count. At the end of the FL the Federation with the most points win. I checked out their teams and seems like we have a tough task in front of us. So let's do our best and see what happens.

Re: MZUSA Federation #11
By tree_amigos - 08-06-2013 19:38
Ok, played with the team locations for the regional folks and determined East/West was still very unbalanced. By splitting the two Virginia teams I got equal sized groups for North and South. There are currently 36 teams participating in regional FL's. Do we want to try for an upper and lower tier and have some teams miss out (16 x 2 = 32) or try to find enough interest to put together 3 tiers?
Here is the breakdown I came up with so far:
South
pulginh0 -- Real Salt Lake☆★ -- Los Angeles, CA
jdub -- S.D. Bajen -- San Diego, CA
dowopado -- Casino Royale -- Phoenix, AZ
aggieplayer -- Santos FC -- Bryant, TX

Welcome to MZ, hope you have fun. Feel free to ask for advise here or in the Q and A section of the forum. There are many managers here who are willing to help you along and try to make your time here worthwhile.
Are you interested in joining the official Federation or just taking part in our friendly leagues and other competitions? If the former, please find the MZUSA Federation on the federations page and apply for membership. If the later, would you like to be added to the waitlist for next season's tiered friendly league? Also, if interested in regional league, what city, state do you live in?

Also be sure to sign up for the Welcome Cups. They are free to new users and give you a chance to experience some of the highs and lows of Cup play. I think you can play in the first four or five that come up after you start your team ( I think they start every week or two). Plus they are a good source of extra income, which is a big benefit for new teams.

Re: MZUSA Federation #11

Well, today I learned the importance of reviewing your tactic rules as well as your formation going into an important game.
Forgot to remove an old tactic rule switching from a 3-2-2-1-2 formation to a 4-1-2-1-2 formation if losing in the 40th minute. Not sure why I ever set that up. Change in formation opened up acres of space for AC Milan's strikers and they took full advantage of it. Congratulation on advancing and good luck in the semis.

Things can be a little rough in the upper leagues. Be happy to have made it there and hope for a quick return. Haven't gotten there yet, and looks like I won't again this season. Working to start making adjustments for a better run next season. Have a few players who may or may not retire - nail biting time again. Midfield could be decimated, 4 are eligible to retire, two are in mid 30's (34/35).

I think we had 2 separate FLs running. Notice I am not in your league. Below is the link to my league:

Could you give me the link to your league.

I don't think the second USA/France FL is open to public viewing. The link just takes me to the main FL pages, not the league. What was the league called? I was able to pull the standings, but can't get to the match schedule.

Congratulations to the winners of our tiered friendly league series!!
League A - Santos (aggieplayer)
League B - Casino Royale (dowopado)
League C - Anabola Pojkarna (aikkim89)
League D - Orkan (koziesandaly)
The other promotion spots are still too close to call in Leagues B, C, and D which all have one match remaining.
Invites have gone out for the A League and the other Leagues will begin being sent this weekend. Please watch for them (so they don't get lost with all the season bonus leagues which are being set up) and sign up as soon as you can or let us know if you are looking to take a season off. Thanks
