I dislike CR but this is nothing really. Petty moment in the heat of a match, where much as I love Barca I think their players made too big a deal of it. The moment at the awards, Guardiola just sees CR face, probably no obvious sign to him there was a handshake being suggested or anything, no big gesture of offering by CR and Pep otherwise has to make a big gesture of standing up and turning around offering his hand... or they both let it slide because neither is that fussed. No great snub, no great animosity, just two guys who aren't friends. Meh.

Cause: It's Guardiola who's arrogant. Why didn't he just give Ronaldo the ball ? He just had to do that, didn't he ? Not Ronaldo's fault. He looked hurried, he just wanted to play, and in the heat of the moment went for the ball. Every player would have reacted in the exact same manner. Gaurdiola should have just given him the ball. Everyone made a big deal out of it, when in reality, everyone should have asked himself 'Why did Ronaldo do that ?'. Everybody takes notice of the reaction, but no one asked what caused it.

Effect: I lost all respect I had for Guardiola after watching the video. Ronaldo was a true sportsman, while the former Barca coach wasn't. Ronaldo looked (at least at one point) genuinely happy for Messi and different sources qoute that he stood up after Messi's name was revealed, and congratulated him. Ronaldo then wanted to also congratulate Guardiola, most probably for being nominated and for having Messi, a previous player of his, win the Ballon D'Or. Gaurdiola on the other hand was not a sportsman. He was arrogant and unfair.

Once everything is taken into context, any individual would realise who the arrogant man is...

I'd have to say kj's summary is a lot more accurate than yours xellu.

I'm going to guess that your either a Real Madrid fan, Barca hater or CR fan (or all 3).

nope, i agree with xellu, if Guardiola had done that to me, i would have picked him up by his collars, rushed him up the steps, and sat him down in row Z ,then i would have went back on and scored a hat trick, the only mistake Ronaldo made, was to offer his hand to Guardiola, when you give an arrogant person the opportunity to be arrogant, that is what happens, and back to the subject matter, coaches should not be allowed to handle /touch the ball in any manner, come to think of it, no player or coach should be able to touch the ball, until it is given to them by a neutral representative,if a player kicks the ball away after the ref has blown , it is a yellow card, throwing the ball away from an opponent is impeding, he should not have been allowed to touch it in the first place, keep the ball boys/girls in a job, and i should jolly well think so too..

but if we think a little bit and see that Guardiola is older, much older than cr is, we could see that a man who knows what is that to be humble, will concentrate about his job on the pitch and not to give Guardiola a leeson.

It is about the fact that cr is a great player, one of the best players in the history of this sport, but in the same time he is a bad character, and I don't appreciate this kind ot people.

Regarding the hand shakes, I think Guardiola didn't saw cr, but I wish he did and just turned his face away. :))

Cheers guys.

Not at all tosspot. I'm a Falcao fan, but definately not Messi's or Ronaldo. And I have no problem with Barca, they are a great team, and I'm not a RM fan either, although I do like their style of play.

heddo: throwing the ball away is away from the play, he was throwing it towards where the throwin is to be taken - so definitely not throwing the ball away... I bet CR wouldn't have even taken the throw because he would have wanted to be on the receiving end of it and you can't throw it to yourself.
