Arsenal beaten by Bradford on penalties

As an Arsenal fan I am very disappointed, but the truth is that we didn't deserve to go through. I thought Arsenal were very poor and that they couldn't penetrate the Bradford defence.

What are your thoughts?

I think Arsenal should sign a new striker who is not from the French league, as we Arsenal have just made them worse, for example:
Mouraune Chamakh
Olivier Giroud
Gervinho (technically a winger)

I think that Arsene should buy someone who has deadly pace and ace finishing and knows how to win big competitions, a bit like Torres before he joined Chelsea, like:
Seydou Doumbia or Welliton.

You're exactly right with Arsenal's most obvious fault. Chamakh, Giroud, Gervinho, Bendtner, preceded by Jeffers, Eduardo, Suker... and I'm sure there were a couple of obscure French guys. Even Podolski looks to be more on Munich goalscoring form than Koln. Even players who contributed well to general play actually didn't manage exceptional goalscoring records: Wiltord, Kanu, Adebayor... About the sum total of successful goalscoring strikers signed during his reign: Anelka, Henry and Van Persie.

I have not stopped laughing, well done Bradford. It was a full strength Arsenal as well.

the blame lies totally with wenger and how he manages his players, take Chamakh , for instance, when he first came to arsenal, he looked a very direct centre forward, who was scoring goals, but now , he has paled into insignificence, because he knows that even if he does get a chance to play, he is very quickly going to drift back into the reserves, do you think that he does not know this , and that it plays on his mind constantly, he looks like a broken man when he comes onto the pitch, the same can be said for oxlade chamberlain, last season the fans pressurised wenger into playing him , but now he has his way and he has sidelined him, arsenal have been trying to walk the ball inot the net for at least five seasonsm, ramsey is vastly over rated and so is wilshire, even gervinho, who i forgive for his miss, as it shows the pace the game is now played at, none of the aresenal players know where they stand with wenger, it may not show in the premiership, but it shows behind the scenes with games such as bradford, there are two harsh truths here, arsenal are managing to keep out of debt, arsenal are not needing to spend major bucks, those are the two reasons that wenger will stay, regardless of whether they win trophies or not..

It is hard to be Arsenal fan for few years...
There is a lot of players who can play for Arsenal but Wenger prefer 18 year players....

Im a man-utd fan and though i hate ass and wanker i think he is a good manager, he made players like van persie and walcott who is a rising star, he trained a FRENCH striker tiery henry. he knows what he is doing, if players dont perform when given the chance why play them? its their fault not the managers, he signs players and uses them of their max ability and sells them at the peek. It takes managers like furgie and wenger to do that. Both had their good seasons arsenal the invincibles and man-utd the trebble and duble twice. though both have been known to make some big errors both are great long term managers. All arsenal care bout is the profit side football and you fans gotta accept that coz business wise only man-utd in the premier league could beet them. 8 years trophy less doesnt seem to scare away the investers and sponsors so i guess they will cope fine.
