After 7 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Matías Neiva made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelaziz Zouba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abdelaziz Zouba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hílton Sarmento hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Matías Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Júlio da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalida Timsit in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafik Abdi in the 24th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Júlio da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, U21 Brazil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Mota to maneuver through the defense. Abdelaziz Zouba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Váldson Neves went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Abdelaziz Zouba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías Neiva's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Edmundo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Bendjedid in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Matías Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Zouba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdelaziz Zouba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Neves in the 44th minute of the match. Váldson Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Abdelaziz Zouba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Abdelaziz Zouba was a little too slow when Matías Neiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-4. Abdelaziz Zouba made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Váldson Neves sent off a good shot on target. Augusto Mota took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdelaziz Zouba. Abdelaziz Zouba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Mete Gol replaced Váldson Neves. U21 Brazil's Kaká Moreira was substituted for Hílton Sarmento. Edmundo Melo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Abdelaziz Zouba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 66th minute, Edmundo Melo made a precise shot to the right of Abdelaziz Zouba. U21 MZ Country's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmundo Melo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abdelaziz Zouba. That made the score 0-7 in the 70 minute of play. U21 MZ Country's Faouzi Kermali was substituted for Abdelhamid Boulebda. Augusto Mota struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Abdelaziz Zouba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Brazil. Mete Gol in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdelaziz Zouba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when U21 MZ Country was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelhamid Souakri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the U21 MZ Country defense, Bebeto Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdelaziz Zouba. The U21 MZ Country fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdelaziz Zouba should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, U21 MZ Country's Abdelaziz Zouba got control of the ball when Augusto Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 MZ Country's Abdelaziz Zouba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Barbosa in the 91st minute of play. Matías Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Faouzi Bellemou Messaoud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Augusto Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Brazil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 MZ Country the free kick. The supporters of U21 MZ Country booed when U21 Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball.
