Christiaan Schrage's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bastiaan Oost came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Jochen Kamp. But to his dismay, Jochen Kamp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Netherlands's Christiaan Schrage in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Christiaan Schrage notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Germany's Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz. Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

Germany made a substitution. Mario Krall replaced Curt Nonnenbruch. Germany's Reiko Klingenberg was substituted for Timo Heller. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jochen Kamp made a kick off. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Philipp Lahm hit a great ball. Yorrick Staarman hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Germany's Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristof Huisingh in the 57th minute of play. Netherlands's Bastiaan Oost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochen Kamp in the 68th minute of play. Bastiaan Oost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reiko Klingenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's Karel Daniels was substituted for Virgil van Dijk. Germany made a substitution. Julian Büttgenbach replaced Edo Heike. Netherlands made a substitution. Andre Rensenbrink replaced Kristof Huisingh. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Egbert Sanders took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Teesing in the 86th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Anschütz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Jochen Kamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bastiaan Oost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andre Rensenbrink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wim Cohen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
