The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Kinsey got free with Lander Arrugueta in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darryl Riddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edorta Falavarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Txanton Pabon in the 26th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Darryl Riddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's Lander Arrugueta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Lander Arrugueta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Kinsey in the 30th minute. Lander Arrugueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Len Saunders, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Lander Arrugueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristofer Browne. In the 45th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Tovar to maneuver through the defense. Lander Arrugueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Kinsey in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Kinsey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lander Arrugueta came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Dennis Kinsey. But to his dismay, Dennis Kinsey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Colombia's Tino Cuebas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Allan Tovar, made in the 57th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Edorta Falavarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darryl Riddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Len Saunders who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Len Saunders almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Lander Arrugueta did a great save. Francisco Tucker took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lander Arrugueta. Lander Arrugueta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Colombia's Boniel Queiruga was substituted for Txanton Pabon. After 77 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Hibai Archuleta. The USA fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when USA's Francisco Tucker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lander Arrugueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristofer Browne, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Hibai Archuleta hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Colombia's Hibai Archuleta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Darryl Riddle. Darryl Riddle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Kinsey in the 93rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Lander Arrugueta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lander Arrugueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Kinsey in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. USA fully deserved thier win.
