A very good chance. After 10 minutes, Anatoly Makovsky made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Nigeria's Umaru Odey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Anatoly Makovsky sped through U21 Nigeria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Umaru Odey. After a rather tough play, U21 Nigeria's Kosi Owotomo got a free kick in the 15th minute. Anatoly Makovsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Umaru Odey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, U21 Belarus's Anatoly Makovsky nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Umaru Odey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Anatoly Makovsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Danila Lebedev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danila Lebedev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Umaru Odey having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Anatoly Makovsky managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Belarus's supporters rose to their feet, but Anatoly Makovsky was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umaru Odey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan Katkevich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The U21 Nigeria players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Belarus were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anatoly Makovsky made a kick off. Valery Mikulenko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Umaru Odey having to make a save. After a rather tough play, U21 Nigeria's Odili Adefarakan got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 67 played minutes U21 Nigeria got a freekick which was hit by Odili Adefarakan. After 71 minutes, Anatoly Makovsky made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Nigeria's Umaru Odey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anatoly Makovsky received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Umaru Odey came out and tried to block the shot, but Anatoly Makovsky slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 75th minute. Anatoly Makovsky might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umaru Odey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anatoly Makovsky ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, U21 Nigeria's Umaru Odey got control of the ball when Anatoly Makovsky tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anatoly Makovsky got free with Umaru Odey in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anatoly Makovsky in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Umaru Odey, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match was over U21 Belarus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 Nigeria throughout the match.
