Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jeremiah Spaulding took the kick off in the first half of the match. Manu Neuer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bastian Keitel in the 3rd minute. In the 8th minute Ovidiu Adrian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manu Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bastian Keitel got free with Manu Neuer in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Deblois came free, but Tristan Wellnitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bastian Keitel in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manu Neuer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bastian Keitel struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Manu Neuer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. After a defensive mix-up in Canada's zone, Ovidiu Adrian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manu Neuer came out of the goal and Ovidiu Adrian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Canada's Manu Neuer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Canada from getting a goal against them. Ovidiu Adrian in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manu Neuer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Canada's Jeremiah Spaulding in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Austria's goalie prevented a goal. Manu Neuer came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Austria's Ovidiu Adrian. But to his dismay, Ovidiu Adrian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ovidiu Adrian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Manu Neuer made a huge save. If Ovidiu Adrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Dow got a throw-in 40 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jean Deblois. The supporters of Canada booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Horstmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Jeremiah Spaulding ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tristan Wellnitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jeremiah Spaulding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Wellnitz having to interfere.

The wind increased when Bastian Keitel made the kick off in the second half. If Jeremiah Spaulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manu Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastian Keitel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With his leg Tristan Wellnitz managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Canada's Devon Weir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Canada made a substitution. Lucian Bălan replaced Ian Marks. After taking down the ball on Canada's corner Olivier Self fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tristan Wellnitz quite easily take care of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Adrian came free, but Manu Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristan Wellnitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremiah Spaulding, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Jean Deblois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Wellnitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bastian Keitel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Manu Neuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Canada's Manu Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastian Keitel in the 80th minute of play. Manu Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastian Keitel in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Bastian Keitel made a precise shot to the right of Manu Neuer. Canada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Canada's Harley Goldman was substituted for Aron Dow. Wade Camacho took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tristan Wellnitz. Tristan Wellnitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Despite being the better team, Canada failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
