Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronny Evans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Txanton Pabon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tom Akkerboom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Tom Akkerboom successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 18th minute, Sayvion Labastida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jhon Sloothaak kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Tom Akkerboom made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Txanton Pabon sent off a good shot on target. Rudi Voller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepe Urtaza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Pepe Urtaza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Martinelli in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Kaiet Caceres came free, but Tom Akkerboom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Damian Martinelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pepe Urtaza. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pepe Urtaza should have stopped the shot. Pepe Urtaza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Martinelli in the 36th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Netherlands's Damian Martinelli made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pepe Urtaza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tom Akkerboom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaiet Caceres in the 39th minute of play. Damian Martinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaiet Caceres to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Egbert Sanders sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pepe Urtaza skillfully saved the ball. Pepe Urtaza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Martinelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pepe Urtaza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Martinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Tom Akkerboom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaiet Caceres in the 61st minute of play. Colombia's Kaiet Caceres got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Netherlands's Hugo Zeldenrust was substituted for Rudi Voller. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sayvion Labastida hit a great ball. Netherlands's Wilco Dekens was substituted for Ferdinant Lindenbergh. Netherlands made a substitution. Rafael Daems replaced Japke Dowie. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Pepe Urtaza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Damian Martinelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Hugo Zeldenrust sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pepe Urtaza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pepe Urtaza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Zeldenrust. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Tino Cuebas got a free kick in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egbert Sanders got free with Pepe Urtaza in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pepe Urtaza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Martinelli in the 92nd minute of play. The Netherlands players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
