U21 Spain's Vistruario Silvestre started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, U21 Spain's Vistruario Silvestre got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some careless play in the U21 Spain defense, Jimi Hendrix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Manzano. The U21 Spain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Manzano should have stopped the shot. In the 9thth minute of the game Vistruario Silvestre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Australia's Antonio Fordham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Spain's goalkeeper Aurelio Manzano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pera Limon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Fordham having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Vistruario Silvestre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vistruario Silvestre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Macario Erosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Long Dong came free, but Aurelio Manzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Drake Butterworth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Australia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Albano Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Contreras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, U21 Spain's Flor Gimenez got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Pera Limon notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of U21 Australia's Antonio Fordham. Antonio Fordham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Jayden Mcvicar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aden Convine kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Vistruario Silvestre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Fordham. U21 Australia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vistruario Silvestre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimi Hendrix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51st play minutes Drake Butterworth shot 4-3, a short shot which went by Aurelio Manzano and just under the crossbar into goal. After 54th play minutes Macario Erosa shot 4-4, a short shot which went by Antonio Fordham and just under the crossbar into goal. Aurelio Manzano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drake Butterworth in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Drake Butterworth came free, but Aurelio Manzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Drake Butterworth in the 68th minute of play forced U21 Spain's goalkeeper Aurelio Manzano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drake Butterworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Aurelio Manzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 minutes, Abelardo Palencia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Spain and the U21 Australia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U21 Australia booed when U21 Spain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Palencia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, U21 Australia's goal looked a bit too open when Pera Limon came free, but Antonio Fordham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Fordham made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Vistruario Silvestre sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Aden Convine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, U21 Spain's Vistruario Silvestre ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antonio Fordham. Antonio Fordham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brockman Szobczak during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brockman Szobczak hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Pera Limon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. U21 Australia's Antonio Fordham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pera Limon in the 89th minute of play. Pera Limon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94thth minute of the game Vistruario Silvestre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Australia's Antonio Fordham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the U21 Australia defense, Vistruario Silvestre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Fordham. The U21 Australia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Fordham should have stopped the shot. U21 Spain's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
