Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Wallander to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in England's zone, Robin Wallander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Haseldine came out of the goal and Robin Wallander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Sweden's goalkeeper Folke Nordal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loyd Garnett. In the 87th minute, Robin Kellbom made a precise shot to the right of George Haseldine. England's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 90 minutes into the match, Alex Hedkvist notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of England's George Haseldine. George Haseldine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sweden had played much better football throughout.
