The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stephen Trucco took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sweden's goalkeeper Folke Nordal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lukas Wüst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Lenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Finnman in the 8th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Lukas Wüst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lukas Wüst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Lenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Trucco came free, but Folke Nordal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Nordal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Trucco, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephen Trucco in the 17th minute of play forced Sweden's goalkeeper Folke Nordal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jaime Küttel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Ödmann in the 23rd minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Lukas Wüst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Folke Nordal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romain Eigner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folke Nordal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyrill Giacomini in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Finnman came free, but Lukas Wüst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Nordal came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Switzerland's Cyrill Giacomini. But to his dismay, Cyrill Giacomini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Cyrill Giacomini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Nordal having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Sweden's Christer Ödmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lukas Wüst narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sweden were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Switzerland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ashley Cole took the corner. Feodor Pernhardt tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Lukas Wüst. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sweden's Gunvald Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romain Eigner in the 56th minute of play forced Sweden's goalkeeper Folke Nordal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evert Lenberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lukas Wüst having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunvald Larsson in the 60th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Lukas Wüst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Evert Lenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Wüst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lukas Wüst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Lenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Lukas Wüst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Lenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folke Nordal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyrill Giacomini in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Trucco came free, but Folke Nordal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lukas Wüst was a little too slow when Jakob Finnman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-3. Sweden's Robin Andreasson was substituted for Ashley Cole. Sweden made a substitution. Timmy Bröms replaced Evert Lenberg. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Gunvald Larsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Lukas Wüst to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the game, Tiberius Schuler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Folke Nordal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gunvald Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lukas Wüst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunvald Larsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Lukas Wüst made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Romain Eigner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folke Nordal was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. After 94 minutes of play, Switzerland's Miguel Schwyzer made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Folke Nordal was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Sweden supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sweden would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
