If Tymoteusz Cwojdak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Poland's goalkeeper Aleksander Lukasik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ioan Lițiu. Poland's Aleksander Lukasik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Poland from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Wisniewski came free, but Vasile Şoimaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ioan Lițiu got free with Aleksander Lukasik in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vasile Şoimaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tymoteusz Cwojdak in the 28th minute of the match. Tymoteusz Cwojdak took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasile Şoimaru. Vasile Şoimaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 35th minute of the match, Manole Pumnu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aleksander Lukasik saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vasile Şoimaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Pryla in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Poland's Bogdan Pryla got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Pumnu came free, but Aleksander Lukasik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Wisniewski came free, but Vasile Şoimaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Poland's Aleksander Lukasik got control of the ball when Ioan Lițiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vasile Şoimaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tymoteusz Cwojdak in the 45th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ioan Lițiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aleksander Lukasik. That made the score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 64th minute Manole Pumnu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Lukasik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Poland had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
