U21 Lebanon's Tahir Abdul Fattah got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, U21 Lebanon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saer Adib to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amro Abdul Hakim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wassim Tayyib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vương Lam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amro Abdul Hakim in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to U21 Vietnam getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Trần Bay hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, U21 Lebanon's Ehab Latif got a free kick in the 86th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Dương Dong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Vietnam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dương Dong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lê Phuong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasin Aban having to interfere. Amro Abdul Hakim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Vương Lam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
