Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gaizkine Espriella kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the match, U21 Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizkine Espriella came free, but Menendo Cabañas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 4 minutes U21 Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaizkine Espriella who took care of the corner kick. Rozarius Espinar made a great header on U21 Uruguay's corner, it was just that U21 Peru's Menendo Cabañas managed to reach the ball for a save. After 5 played minutes U21 Peru got a freekick which was hit by Fiz Ciriaca. In the 8th minute U21 Uruguay were awarded a corner. Gaizkine Espriella went to the cornerflag to take it. U21 Uruguay's Gaizkine Espriella was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Menendo Cabañas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Beturian Sorriba sped through U21 Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Menendo Cabañas. The supporters of U21 Peru booed when U21 Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaizkine Espriella didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Cordarrol Villamandos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladio Pardabu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Gavino Larquera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Ioritz Lecuona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioritz Lecuona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Edson Lecuna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Gaizkine Espriella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Menendo Cabañas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on U21 Uruguay's corner Gaizkine Espriella fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Menendo Cabañas quite easily take care of the ball. If Rozarius Espinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Gaizkine Espriella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Uruguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Cordarrol Villamandos scored to the left of an out of position Ladio Pardabu, making the score, 1-1. Ladio Pardabu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cordarrol Villamandos in the 32nd minute. Ladio Pardabu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xulio Pozos's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Menendo Cabañas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Lecuna's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. If Edson Lecuna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Peru's Menendo Cabañas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Lecuna in the 41st minute of play. Ladio Pardabu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordarrol Villamandos in the 43rd minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cordarrol Villamandos made a kick off. Ladio Pardabu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xulio Pozos in the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Cordarrol Villamandos managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Cordarrol Villamandos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladio Pardabu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaizkine Espriella came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Menendo Cabañas could save by the left post. U21 Peru's Bertran Garin was substituted for Ioritz Lecuona. U21 Peru's Ivon Asensio was substituted for Fiz Ciriaca. Vladimiro Charro hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Freiria in the 80th minute of play forced U21 Uruguay's goalkeeper Ladio Pardabu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaizkine Espriella's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Menendo Cabañas firmly grabbed it by the left post. Manoel Freiria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ladio Pardabu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Gaizkine Espriella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Menendo Cabañas made a huge save. Xulio Pozos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladio Pardabu having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Xulio Pozos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manoel Freiria in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladio Pardabu saved U21 Uruguay from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Manoel Freiria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ladio Pardabu was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. U21 Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
