The audience was convinced that Gabriel Karlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jedidiah Kreitman was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Israel's zone, Walter Sundén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jedidiah Kreitman came out of the goal and Walter Sundén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The U21 Israel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Sweden's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Sweden.
