The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléber Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Brazil's protests and gave Calvin Johnson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Colombia booed when Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvin Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calvin Johnson struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Pepe Urtaza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brazil.
