The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Greece's goalkeeper Fragiskos Batakos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Charly Lemoine put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fragiskos Batakos. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Jean-Philippe Cuny successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jean-Philippe Cuny made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Christos Stilianopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Jean-Philippe Cuny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kouloucheris in the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Greece had won after a very even match.
