The referee ignored U21 Romania's protests and gave Flavius Domide a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Flavius Domide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Napoleon Skorny took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aurel Balotă. U21 Romania's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pit Agoras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Izbașa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Pit Agoras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Izbașa in the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, U21 Romania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Lucrețiu to maneuver through the defense. After 14 minutes, Mateusz Bator made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Romania's Aurel Balotă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Kissel to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Franciszek Drugi hit a great ball. When Victor Răchiteanu came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the U21 Romania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Răchiteanu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Victor Răchiteanu got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of U21 Poland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Romania:s goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Niculae Izbașa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Pit Agoras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zachariasz Ciborek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurel Balotă having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, U21 Poland's Tanek Praski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tanek Praski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of U21 Poland protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tanek Praski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 43 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Tanek Praski. In the 44th minute Victor Răchiteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pit Agoras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Zachariasz Ciborek made the kick off in the second half. Virgil Cosoroabă hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. U21 Poland's Pit Agoras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Izbașa in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Kasiewski came free, but Aurel Balotă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Wiktor Kasiewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Poland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Romania's Niculae Izbașa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pit Agoras. That made the score 2-2 after 71 minutes of play. Pit Agoras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Răchiteanu in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Pusiak in the 78th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Aurel Balotă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pit Agoras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Luncașu in the 79th minute of the match. Costică Luncașu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Witold Pusiak made a precise shot to the right of Aurel Balotă. U21 Romania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Witold Pusiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witold Pusiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Pusiak in the 93rd minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Aurel Balotă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wiktor Kasiewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Romania players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Poland.
