Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juliusz Kissel started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Mieszko Kaczanka made a precise shot to the right of Baiste O'Neill. U21 Ireland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 12th match minute, U21 Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Czarny to maneuver through the defense. Baiste O'Neill made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Mieszko Kaczanka sent off a good shot on target. After 16 minutes U21 Ireland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Franciszek Drugi who took care of the corner kick. U21 Poland's Dariusz Czerniejewski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baiste O'Neill in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 17 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Dariusz Czerniejewski made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baiste O'Neill was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the game, Danann McStephen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Ireland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Poland the free kick. After a rather tough play, U21 Ireland's Danann McStephen got a free kick in the 19th minute. Artur Pyczkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kain McJohn in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kain McJohn in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Pyczkowski saved U21 Poland from getting behind. Artur Pyczkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donavon Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolek Barna to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, U21 Poland's Mieszko Kaczanka dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 36th minute Juliusz Kissel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baiste O'Neill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mieszko Kaczanka kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baiste O'Neill. That made the score 4-0 in the 38 minute of play. When U21 Poland's Mieszko Kaczanka in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Ireland's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's Juliusz Kissel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baiste O'Neill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
U21 Poland's Janusz Konieczko was substituted for Mieszko Kaczanka. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donavon Dalton made a kick off. Artur Pyczkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donavon Dalton in the 56th minute of play. Artur Pyczkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donavon Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brann Morrison in the 71st minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Artur Pyczkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, Bart Mis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Ireland and the U21 Poland players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes U21 Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Bart Mis. 80 minutes into the match, U21 Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Janusz Konieczko came free, but Baiste O'Neill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When %teams%'s Donavon Dalton was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 5-1 just inside the left pole, 83 minutes into the game. Artur Pyczkowski was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. When Juliusz Kissel came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the U21 Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juliusz Kissel couldn't finish the play. After 90 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Gwidon Prus. 94 minutes into the game, Brann Morrison cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Artur Pyczkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Poland fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Ireland had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
