The corner led U21 Bulgaria's Kamen Benkovski to fire away a dangerous shot which Lynge Ledorf despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Doychin Tarchev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Bulgaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doychin Tarchev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danail Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ejner Vikarheyggj, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Doychin Tarchev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danail Velinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ejner Vikarheyggj in the 41st minute of the match. After 77 minutes, Vaklin Burmov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Bulgaria and the U21 Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. U21 Denmark's Lynge Ledorf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Denmark from getting a goal against them.
