An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Orkatz in the 11th minute of play forced Turkey's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentina's goalkeeper Roberto Cresencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Yiğitcan Yücesan rounded Argentina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 58th minute Ricardo Geleberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Joaquin Orkatz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Benedicto Gitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
