Seating: 237, VIP seats: 20) Serbia's Jezdimir Zorić started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aias Vlahos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jezdimir Zorić in the 5th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Jezdimir Zorić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aias Vlahos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Fanis Dalianis took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rastko Mirosavljević to make any attempt to save it. In the 16th minute, Alexandros Vrettos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aias Vlahos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jezdimir Zorić, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ignjat Gecić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rastko Mirosavljević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaios Georgenes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Cyprus's Konstantinos Achaparos to fire away a dangerous shot which Rastko Mirosavljević despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Vaios Georgenes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serbia's Rastko Mirosavljević was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cyprus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Konstantinos Achaparos in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Cyprus's Nykteus Papadakos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rastko Mirosavljević made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Nykteus Papadakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48thth minute of the game Vaios Georgenes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serbia's Rastko Mirosavljević was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaios Georgenes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rastko Mirosavljević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nykteus Papadakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Cyprus's Aias Vlahos got control of the ball when Serafim Ašković tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Cyprus's goalkeeper Aias Vlahos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafim Ašković. In the 62ndth minute of the game Vaios Georgenes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serbia's Rastko Mirosavljević was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serbia's Rastko Mirosavljević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fanis Dalianis in the 65th minute of play. Rastko Mirosavljević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fanis Dalianis went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Nykteus Papadakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cyprus's supporters rose to their feet, but Nykteus Papadakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rastko Mirosavljević breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cyprus's Giorgos Latousakis was substituted for Vaios Georgenes. In the 72nd play minute Serafim Ašković came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aias Vlahos. 3-2. Fanis Dalianis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serbia's Rastko Mirosavljević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nykteus Papadakos in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Giorgos Latousakis made a precise shot to the right of Rastko Mirosavljević. Serbia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Rastko Mirosavljević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nykteus Papadakos in the 87th minute of play. Nykteus Papadakos took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rastko Mirosavljević. Rastko Mirosavljević dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fanis Dalianis in the 89th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Rastko Mirosavljević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nykteus Papadakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serbia's Ignjat Gecić landed with the leg in an unnatural angle after a tough challenge. The leg was fractured. 96 minutes into the game, Patroklos Tsiaris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cyprus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serbia the free kick. Patroklos Tsiaris hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cyprus were victorious despite being under pressure from Serbia for much of the match.
