Hrvoje Matoš showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Hrvoje Matoš's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bob McLeister was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Croatia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jure Salzer in the 10th minute. The corner led Croatia's Jure Salzer to fire away a dangerous shot which Bob McLeister despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mijat Kresić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frankie McGill, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Hrvoje Matošs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Bob McLeister to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Bob McLeister managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Croatia's Hrvoje Matoš fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Croatia's Hrvoje Matoš got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Scotland's Frankie McGill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mijat Kresić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Vida to make the kick off. Bob McLeister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Vida in the 62nd minute of the match. Croatia's Mijat Kresić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie McGill in the 63rd minute of play. Scotland's Bob McLeister played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Vida in the 65th minute of play. Scotland made a substitution. Robbie Conochie hit a great ball. The Croatia fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Croatia's Hrvoje Matoš looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Callum McLardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mijat Kresić having to interfere. Scotland's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
