After 17 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Frank Riva. Leif Kuoppala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Zollino in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Zollino in the 21st minute of play forced Finland's goalkeeper Leif Kuoppala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ukko Mattila charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ukko Mattila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Finland's Ukko Mattila got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Alexander Zollino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leif Kuoppala was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Finland's Leif Kuoppala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Finland from getting a goal against them. Leif Kuoppala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Zollino in the 36th minute of the match. Ferdinando Pierucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maria Magdalena, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Maria Magdalena came free, but Ferdinando Pierucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Zollino made a kick off. With a little luck, Italy's Ferdinando Pierucci got control of the ball when Maria Magdalena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yada Daa took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Kuoppala. Ferdinando Pierucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maria Magdalena in the 95th minute. Italy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
