In the 4th minute U21 Norway were awarded a corner. Christian Sakariassen went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Olof Nicolaysen heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 7 minutes into the game, Steinar Nordhaug cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tanan El Idrissi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jostein Solbakken got free with Tanan El Idrissi in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, U21 Morocco's Tanan El Idrissi got control of the ball when Steinar Nordhaug tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tanan El Idrissi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steinar Nordhaug went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Jostein Solbakken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Norway's Christian Sakariassen got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steinar Nordhaug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Tanan El Idrissi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to U21 Norway getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Christian Sakariassen hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Labib Soulaimani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute Isak Sperre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanan El Idrissi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vetle Langåker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Labib Soulaimani in the 33rd minute of the match. Tanan El Idrissi was a little too slow when Steinar Nordhaug got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 3-0. If Isak Sperre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, U21 Morocco's goalkeeper Tanan El Idrissi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steinar Nordhaug. Tanan El Idrissi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jostein Solbakken in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

U21 Norway's Christian Folland was substituted for Isak Sperre. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Folland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, U21 Morocco's Ziad Benzouin made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vetle Langåker was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute Steinar Nordhaug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanan El Idrissi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tanan El Idrissi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. U21 Morocco made a substitution. Ashraf Lamyaghri replaced Jawad Arrafi. U21 Norway's Jonathan Aarset was substituted for Laurits Vassdal. U21 Norway made a substitution. Edvard Wærnes replaced Jostein Solbakken. The supporters of U21 Morocco booed when U21 Norway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Nicolaysen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanan El Idrissi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Folland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Norway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Sakariassen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Christian Folland sped through U21 Morocco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tanan El Idrissi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Folland in the 93rd minute of play forced U21 Morocco's goalkeeper Tanan El Idrissi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
