Turkey's Göksun Özinan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Slavey Mavrikov in the 14 minute of the game. Turkey's Feridun Şerif got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes of play, Turkey's Feridun Şerif made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Veselin Dzhebelov was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Malin Sharaliyski came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Bulgaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malin Sharaliyski couldn't finish the play. Yiğitcan Yücesan took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Veselin Dzhebelov. Veselin Dzhebelov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The throw-in from Slavey Mavrikov in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Turkey's Göksun Özinan. 28 minutes into the match, Turkey's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Malin Sharaliyski. Turkey's Igor Akinfeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blagoy Maznikov in the 30th minute of play. Blagoy Maznikov took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Akinfeev. Igor Akinfeev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. If Blagoy Maznikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Turkey's Yiğitcan Yücesan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veselin Dzhebelov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Turkey's attentive Göksun Özinan managed to snatch the ball when Slavey Mavrikov made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Veselin Dzhebelov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yiğitcan Yücesan in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blagoy Maznikov to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Turkey's Feridun Şerif got a free kick in the 50th minute. Blagoy Maznikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Akinfeev having to interfere. A collision led to Turkey getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gökhun Erdesir hit a great ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bulgaria's goalkeeper Veselin Dzhebelov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Turkey's Yiğitcan Yücesan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veselin Dzhebelov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Turkey's Yiğitcan Yücesan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Veselin Dzhebelov. That made the score 1-6 after 69 minutes of play. Turkey's attentive Göksun Özinan managed to snatch the ball when Slavey Mavrikov made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. Igor Akinfeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malin Sharaliyski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bulgaria's Vaklin Zahúnov got a free kick in the 81st minute. Feridun Şerif had several of the Bulgaria's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-8 score and a disappointed Veselin Dzhebelov as he didn't even see the shot coming. The crowd rose to their feet as Turkey's Yiğitcan Yücesan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Veselin Dzhebelov. That made the score 1-9 after 86 minutes of play. If Yiğitcan Yücesan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turkey made a substitution. Halil Can Özertem replaced Gökhun Erdesir. Bulgaria's Veselin Dzhebelov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Bulgaria from getting a goal against them. Turkey's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
