Spectators: 10331 (Terracing: 7749, Seating: 2376, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tobias Tohias took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, U21 Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Botello came free, but Oswaldo Bueldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of U21 Peru booed when U21 Argentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Sein didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abelardo Daniel fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Peru's protests and gave Abelardo Daniel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 Peru getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Abelardo Daniel hit a great ball. After 21 minutes of play, U21 Argentina's Clemente Botello made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oswaldo Bueldi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Clemente Botello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oswaldo Bueldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Urbez Cerredelo charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urbez Cerredelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Clemente Botello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oswaldo Bueldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Botello in the 39th minute of play forced U21 Peru's goalkeeper Oswaldo Bueldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filiberto Beti kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Oswaldo Bueldi came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Argentina's Clemente Botello. But to his dismay, Clemente Botello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

Oswaldo Bueldi made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Clemente Botello sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd minute U21 Argentina were awarded a corner. Lucio Berdaitz went to the cornerflag to take it. Lucio Berdaitz made a great header on U21 Argentina's corner, it was just that U21 Peru's Oswaldo Bueldi managed to reach the ball for a save. Conrao Aleman struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Diego Gitano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Peru. In the 57th minute, U21 Argentina's Clemente Botello ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oswaldo Bueldi. Oswaldo Bueldi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Oswaldo Bueldi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. U21 Argentina made a substitution. Pastor Ruy replaced Constantino Tulio. U21 Peru's Edson-Arantes do Nascimento was substituted for Teobaldo Narbona. U21 Peru made a substitution. Andrei Arshavin replaced Urbez Cerredelo. U21 Argentina made a substitution. Gualterio Perrando replaced Clemente Botello. Diego Gitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Arshavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oswaldo Bueldi made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Gualterio Perrando sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to U21 Peru getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Tom Misaki hit a great ball. Gualterio Perrando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo Bueldi was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Gualterio Perrando capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gualterio Perrando really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. U21 Peru's Oswaldo Bueldi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Tobias Tohias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oswaldo Bueldi. The goal made the score 0-9. U21 Peru were furious when Galeno Carnicero was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. U21 Argentina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
