To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 minutes, 黄风永 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the China and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, China was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 黄风永 to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 7 minutes, Victoro Loayza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoro Loayza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 吕凡谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Salcedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 吕凡谦 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florencio Bühler's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Florencio Bühler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but China's 吕凡谦 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 minutes China's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victoro Loayza who took care of the corner kick. Chile's Victoro Loayza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 吕凡谦 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Salvador Gaete made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Samuele Longo sent off a good shot on target. 吕凡谦 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Gustavo Blanc's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 33rd minute, 胡旭渊 made a precise shot to the right of Salvador Gaete. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Florencio Bühler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but 吕凡谦 made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florencio Bühler got free with 吕凡谦 in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute Samuele Longo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Gaete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Gaete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Longo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 胡旭渊 in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Gaete prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile's Orlando Buendia was substituted for Enmanuel Dalgalarrando. China made a substitution. 黄震卫 replaced 胡旭渊. Chile's Loreno Matamala was substituted for Carlos Gustavo Blanc. In the 81st minute Xie Xi Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Gaete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Manu Chao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Eleuterio Salcedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Salcedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 吕凡谦 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when 黄震卫 came free, but Salvador Gaete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chile's Salvador Gaete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xie Xi Feng in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Florencio Bühler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Florencio Bühler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 吕凡谦 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Florencio Bühler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The China players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
