Anselmo Gauargi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustav Hamann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Gustav Hamann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Gauargi in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Gauargi in the 32nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Gustav Hamann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Kleppinger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Argentina's Ernesto Guevara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Kleppinger in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niko Kobelt to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Gauargi came free, but Gustav Hamann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justino Lastur was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Anibal Bernaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustav Hamann having to make a save. 72 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Bernaldo came free, but Gustav Hamann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Germany's Antoine Kiehl made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Guevara was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th play minute Niko Kobelt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ernesto Guevara. 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Germany walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
