Kenneth Smeland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Hoolemans in the 11th minute of play. Kenneth Smeland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dany-Adams Raniers, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Kenneth Smeland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Louis Hoolemans's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Norway's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
