Paraguay were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bidun Igareda took the corner. The corner led Paraguay's Bidun Igareda to fire away a dangerous shot which Dean Li despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dean Li showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiadoro Saer in the 8th minute of the match. When USA's Cody Arnold in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. 17 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Tiadoro Saer came free, but Dean Li reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Ceferino Butron notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of USA's Dean Li. Dean Li was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Paraguay's Ceferino Butron in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye USA's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardo Browers short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Confesor Dicastillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Arturo Brewer came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Brewer couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Brower's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Confesor Dicastillo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Roderigo Llacin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dean Li tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cody Arnold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Confesor Dicastillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. When USA's Cody Arnold in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Cody Arnold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Confesor Dicastillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Confesor Dicastillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Brower. After having played for 40 minutes, Cody Arnold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cody Arnold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bryce Conn was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Tiadoro Saer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Li came out of the goal and Tiadoro Saer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Thaddeus Schneider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 played minutes, Paraguay's Bidun Igareda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dean Li came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it.

52 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Brower came free, but Confesor Dicastillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Tiadoro Saer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Paraguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of USA:s goal. Paraguay's Chepe Peña was substituted for Fidele Albornoz. Bidun Igareda got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 68th minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. USA made a substitution. Reynaldo Kaufman replaced Bernardo Brower. When USA's Reynaldo Kaufman in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. USA's Emery Singer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Confesor Dicastillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dean Li didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Che Escobedo went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 85thth minute of the game Fernando Carrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Confesor Dicastillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Reynaldo Kaufman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Confesor Dicastillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Carrero in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Confesor Dicastillo saved Paraguay from getting behind. In the 94th minute USA were awarded a corner. Emery Singer went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, USA's Dean Li got control of the ball when Freddy Torrascasana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reynaldo Kaufman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Confesor Dicastillo having to make a save. Confesor Dicastillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Kaufman in the 98th minute of play. Confesor Dicastillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Carrero in the 100th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, USA could leave the field as winners, despite Paraguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
