Malin Sharaliyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Xriha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malta's Cleaven Trevisan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Malta from getting a goal against them. Alfred Xriha kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malta's goalkeeper Cleaven Trevisan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bulgaria's Karamfil Stanislavov got a free kick in the 20th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Cleaven Trevisan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Malta's zone, Slavey Mavrikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleaven Trevisan came out of the goal and Slavey Mavrikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Malin Sharaliyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Xriha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 34th match minute, Bulgaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrey Vlashev to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Slavey Mavrikov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleaven Trevisan was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Slavey Mavrikov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cleaven Trevisan. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Malta's goalkeeper Cleaven Trevisan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 44 minutes Malta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vencho Zlatanov who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Vencho Zlatanov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cleaven Trevisan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Malta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Robert Giordmaina Medici hit a great ball. Cleaven Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slavey Mavrikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Bulgaria's Asen Muratovski was substituted for Andrey Vlashev. The wind increased when Alfred Xriha made the kick off in the second half. Joe Cioffi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Slavey Mavrikov scored 3-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cleaven Trevisan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Slavey Mavrikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleaven Trevisan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Bulgaria were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Malta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vencho Zlatanov took the corner. The corner ended in Peyo Dzhivanov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Malta's Cleaven Trevisan did a great save. 87 minutes into the game, Bulgaria's Peyo Dzhivanov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleaven Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Slavey Mavrikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Bulgaria fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Bulgaria's Asen Muratovski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Peplow got free with Malin Sharaliyski in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joe Cioffi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malin Sharaliyski having to interfere.
