FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Ionică Bădilescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Isăilă in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Romania getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Serginho Ramos hit a great ball. Ionică Bădilescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Mălăele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horaţiu Pintilie during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Horaţiu Pintilie hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Pintilie. In the 58th minute Emanuel Mălăele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Bădilescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ciprian Halipa fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s protests and gave Ciprian Halipa a yellow card for diving instead. Ionică Bădilescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Mălăele in the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arthur Clarke in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Bădilescu saved FC PIETROSUL -MM- from getting behind. Ciprian Halipa got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 69th minute, Ciprian Halipa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sever Crăiniceanu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s protests and gave Sever Crăiniceanu a yellow card for diving instead. Sever Crăiniceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Arthur Clarke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Mălăele came free, but Ionică Bădilescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
