Karol Panasewicz started the match with the kick off. The throw-in from Lech Matela in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Blue Mountain State's George Popescu. Robin Sharma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Lin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's Pan Lin Zhen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Sharma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Peren in the 16th minute of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Zachariasz Dudkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute of the match Blue Mountain State got a corner. CRUZ DEL SUR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Afşar Uçuk ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robin Sharma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Peren in the 28th minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Karol Panasewicz made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. CRUZ DEL SUR's Zachariasz Dudkowski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karol Panasewicz in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zachariasz Dudkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robin Sharma was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Fabio Zorondo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Zorondo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pan Lin Zhen got free with Robin Sharma in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Panasewicz came free, but Zachariasz Dudkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Wiliam Peren made the kick off in the second half. If Pan Lin Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Popescu made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CRUZ DEL SUR's Lech Matela. Zachariasz Dudkowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karol Panasewicz's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Blue Mountain State's Gökcan Bergin was substituted for Aykut Aşkın. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. Dino Berardino replaced Vitinho Faria. Karol Panasewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zachariasz Dudkowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in CRUZ DEL SUR's zone, Karol Panasewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachariasz Dudkowski came out of the goal and Karol Panasewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Gökcan Bergin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the game, Lionel-Andrés Messi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zachariasz Dudkowski. Lionel-Andrés Messi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Blue Mountain State eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
