The Shamrock United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Pires should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Shamrock United's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Penczkowski came free, but Henrique Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro Nascimento hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Henrique Pires was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wlodzimierz Penczkowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henrique Pires came out and tried to block the shot, but Wlodzimierz Penczkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 34th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wlodzimierz Penczkowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrique Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Penczkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 84th minute of the match Cementerio Club got a corner. Shamrock United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ermegildo Demario ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrique Pires having to make a save. Henrique Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Penczkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Wlodzimierz Penczkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cementerio Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Wlodzimierz Penczkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cementerio Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
