Ronnie Meck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Micucci in the 13th minute of the match. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balthazar Bär in the 15th minute of play. Balthazar Bär blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Ekrot having to make a save. Balthazar Bär could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Marcus Ekrot made a huge save. The supporters of U21 Sweden booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Micucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balthazar Bär sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balthazar Bär, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torbjörn Nilsson got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Balthazar Bär might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Ekrot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balthazar Bär ran back to his position shaking his head. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balthazar Bär in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Torbjörn Nilsson made the kick off in the second half.
