The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Duarte de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Manni in the 10th minute of play. Bruno Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Örjan Forssell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Duarte de Barros made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Ramos in the 18th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Duarte de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Manni came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Manni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Minotauro's Romeu Sousa got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Forssell got free with Duarte de Barros in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Manni came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
