James Novak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Paddy Woolcock recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danny Jumel. Paddy Woolcock showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 36 minutes Gloucester City AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tris Townsley who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Marty Driver heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Kristopher Le Saux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Jumel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Rigg, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, William Rigg put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Danny Jumel. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristopher Le Saux was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Markham. The audience was convinced that William Rigg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danny Jumel was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 56thth minute of the game William Rigg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gloucester City AFC's Danny Jumel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind England's goalkeeper James Novak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edvin Tinglöv kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Danny Jumel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paddy Woolcock in the 73rd minute of play. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paddy Woolcock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second James Novak throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wes Carragher in the 93rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 95th minute, Nial Peyton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gloucester City AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for England.
