After some careless play in the Reconquistense FC defense, Hélder de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piara Tittarelli. The Reconquistense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piara Tittarelli should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reconquistense FC's goalkeeper Piara Tittarelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Nubecitas FC were awarded a corner. Lu Yang Nan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nubecitas FC's Txomin De la Rosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Piara Tittarelli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Christodoulos Karabogias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Medina in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Reconquistense FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Sabin Hârlab hit a great ball. After the first half Nubecitas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélder de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Reconquistense FC's Piara Tittarelli got control of the ball when Jordi Ferrari tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Nubecitas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nubecitas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
