Damiano Mucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn August in the 8th minute of play. Dinç Dede took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurício Bomba. Maurício Bomba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 14th minute Martijn August shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Mucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Kjellman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Mucci having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Dan Kjellman could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Damiano Mucci however easily saved by the left post. In the 21st minute Dinç Dede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Bomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Bal op het Dak booed when FC Aquile Azzurre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elia Pasin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Martijn August shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Mucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Mendes in the 41st minute of play forced FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Damiano Mucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Bomba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinç Dede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinç Dede to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Augusto Graziani sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurício Bomba skillfully saved the ball. Maurício Bomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinç Dede, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. FC Bal op het Dak's Iwan Valentijn was substituted for Martijn August. FC Aquile Azzurre made a substitution. Sami Khedira replaced Augusto Graziani. In the 68th match minute, FC Aquile Azzurre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Correia to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Iwan Valentijn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Mucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Aquile Azzurre defense, Iwan Valentijn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damiano Mucci. The FC Aquile Azzurre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damiano Mucci should have stopped the shot. FC Aquile Azzurre made a substitution. Carlo Borgatello replaced Dinç Dede. FC Aquile Azzurre's Damiano Mucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Valentijn in the 77th minute of play. Osvaldinho Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Marick Brunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damiano Mucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dan Kjellman's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Fabrizio Petrucci kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Carlo Borgatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurício Bomba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Aquile Azzurre's zone, Iwan Valentijn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano Mucci came out of the goal and Iwan Valentijn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
