Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fausto Ferrante took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Ruscova's Roger Romary got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a little luck, FC Ruscova's Helmuth Duckadam got control of the ball when Iordache Strugure tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Algot Walroth in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Petro Atlético's Özcan Vahap. In the 25th minute Nuno Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Ferrante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Ferrante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Daniel Gavin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Gavin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Ferrante in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Petruț Fințescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Gavin was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iordache Strugure made a kick off. When FC Ruscova's Petruț Fințescu in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 64 played minutes Petro Atlético got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Mendes. With a little luck, Petro Atlético's Daniel Gavin got control of the ball when Petruț Fințescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Gavin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Ferrante in the 82nd minute. FC Ruscova's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Strugure in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Petro Atlético booed when FC Ruscova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcu Iovan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
