Isaias Erroman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amuruza Lillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Ion Vadillos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Lauren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Portalupi in the 44th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Portalupi to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Carballido came free, but Omar Lauren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Carballido in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Lauren saved Deportivo Balvanera from getting behind. Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Lauren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them. Omar Lauren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané Balcells's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Portalupi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Balvanera's François-Xavier Castello was substituted for Isaias Erroman. Junta De Los Rios CF's Tipi Riells was substituted for Yago Feria. It was a well-played corner which François-Xavier Castello managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 82nd minute, François-Xavier Castello made a precise shot to the right of Amuruza Lillo. Junta De Los Rios CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Balcells in the 88th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Omar Lauren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Junta De Los Rios CF booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball.
