The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Dogelo's Lewis van Dijk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lewis van Dijk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dogelo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lewis van Dijk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Miguel Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Manúel Bento made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorn Van den Enden in the 13th minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Manúel Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Dogelo's goalkeeper Manúel Bento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ettore Castagna. In the 24th minute, Miguel Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manúel Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Van Nistelrooy in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Jorn Van den Enden got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Manúel Bento came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Craques fc's Miguel Prestes. But to his dismay, Miguel Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Catarinense in the 37th minute of play forced Deportivo Craques fc's goalkeeper Laércio Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Deportivo Craques fc defense, Frank Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laércio Trigo. The Deportivo Craques fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laércio Trigo should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, 程鸿奕 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laércio Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Catarinense in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Frank Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dogelo and the Deportivo Craques fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Dogelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Dogelo's Manúel Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Van Nistelrooy in the 47th minute of play.

Oliverios Marcilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Trigo having to interfere. Jorn Van den Enden hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Laércio Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Catarinense in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Deportivo Craques fc's goal looked a bit too open when Oliverios Marcilla came free, but Laércio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Van Nistelrooy put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manúel Bento. After 65 played minutes Deportivo Craques fc got a freekick which was hit by Paul Floridong. The supporters of Dogelo booed when Deportivo Craques fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Floridong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manúel Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Van Nistelrooy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Jorn Van den Enden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Craques fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorn Van den Enden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manúel Bento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ettore Castagna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dogelo's Manúel Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Castagna in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Van Nistelrooy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manúel Bento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
