The audience thought a goal was coming when Victoro Soto got free with Boleslaw Jaktorowo in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danijel Petrlin in the 9th minute of play forced Carno FK's goalkeeper Hayrullah İrfanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tibor Ďumbier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Carno FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Ďumbier came free, but Hayrullah İrfanoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes Carno FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Dodaj who took care of the corner kick. With an all-out effort, Carno FK's Boleslaw Jaktorowo threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victoro Soto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 20 minutes into the match, Maksimir's goalkeeper Boleslaw Jaktorowo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victoro Soto. With 22 minutes on the clock, Cameron Pruett commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 23 minutes into the match, Carno FK's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Dodaj came free, but Hayrullah İrfanoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hayrullah İrfanoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 26th minute of play. Danijel Petrlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Maksimir's goalkeeper Boleslaw Jaktorowo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şenel Rafet. Sven Vollander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Boleslaw Jaktorowo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Maksimir from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute, Lev Zhdanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven Vollander to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Maksimir got a corner. Carno FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Dodaj ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Adam Dodaj got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hayrullah İrfanoğlu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 62nd minute, Sven Vollander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carno FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A hard shot 68 in the game by Antonio Hrste from a close distance when the talented Hayrullah İrfanoğlu managed to make a qualified save. Carno FK's players were relieved. Hayrullah İrfanoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Korneliusz Piglowski during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Korneliusz Piglowski hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of Maksimir booed when Carno FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Piglowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77thth minute of the game Sven Vollander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maksimir's Boleslaw Jaktorowo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hayrullah İrfanoğlu made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Danijel Petrlin sent off a good shot on target. Antonio Hrstes short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Hayrullah İrfanoğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vecdet Seyfeddin kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Adam Dodaj shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hayrullah İrfanoğlu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carno FK's Hayrullah İrfanoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Carno FK from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes Carno FK got a freekick which was hit by Battal Gazi Karar. Danijel Petrlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute, Antonio Hrste left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maksimir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Danijel Petrlin took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hayrullah İrfanoğlu. Hayrullah İrfanoğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
