The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Remus Răduțu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eg Nudel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Mirciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Myr in the 8th minute of play. Peter Wallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Cristian Mirciu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Myr went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 16 minutes into the match, Navigatii Bacău's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Myr came free, but Cristian Mirciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samyang Ramen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Myr in the 17th minute. It was a well-played corner which Tom Svensson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Samyang Ramen's Christer Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christer Larsson struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cristian Mirciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samyang Ramen. After a rather tough play, Samyang Ramen's Kalle Ros got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes, Navigatii Bacău's Remus Răduțu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eg Nudel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Navigatii Bacău reached it. A collision led to Samyang Ramen getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Rudolf Öfverman hit a great ball. After 46 minutes, John Blomberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samyang Ramen and the Navigatii Bacău players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Myr was the one to do the kick off. Eg Nudel was a little too slow when Gigel Curteanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Cristian Mirciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Larsson in the 56th minute of the match. When Ivan Tutunaru fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Navigatii Bacău's protests and gave Ivan Tutunaru a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Tutunaru hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes, Samyang Ramen's Joel Myr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristian Mirciu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Samyang Ramen's Joel Myr got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 82 minutes, Nae Chiuzbaian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Navigatii Bacău and the Samyang Ramen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Nae Chiuzbaian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Samyang Ramen got a freekick which was hit by Peter Wallgren. Remus Răduțu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eg Nudel. Samyang Ramen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Navigatii Bacău's Cristian Mirciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Larsson in the 95th minute of play.
