Marcelo Andrade started the match with the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Luisão Valadares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Torres during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Francisco Alvarez FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Torres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Peli in the 10th minute of play forced Associação Atlética Campo's goalkeeper Edvaldo Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Andrade in the 16th minute of play forced Francisco Alvarez FC's goalkeeper Augusto Galo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Alvarez FC's Augusto Galo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Francisco Alvarez FC from getting a goal against them. Francisco Alvarez FC's Emilio Viator got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Galo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Valadares in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match, Luisão Valadares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Augusto Galo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Francisco Alvarez FC's Placido Peli got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Augusto Galo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Associação Atlética Campo's zone, Emilio Viator stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Matorin came out of the goal and Emilio Viator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Galo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Andrade in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Associação Atlética Campo's zone, Placido Peli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Matorin came out of the goal and Placido Peli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Emilio Viator put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edvaldo Matorin. Augusto Galo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Andrade went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Placido Peli struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Edvaldo Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Francisco Alvarez FC. After a rather tough play, Associação Atlética Campo's Alexsandro Gaspar got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Viator to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeremias Torres was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Francisco Alvarez FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jeremias Torres hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Francisco Alvarez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Valadares came free, but Augusto Galo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Francisco Alvarez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens de Carvalho came free, but Augusto Galo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Francisco Alvarez FC defense, Marcelo Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Galo. The Francisco Alvarez FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Galo should have stopped the shot. In the 64th match minute, Associação Atlética Campo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match Emilio Viator shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edvaldo Matorin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Associação Atlética Campo's Agnaldo Mendes got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Naldo Barros fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Associação Atlética Campo's protests and gave Naldo Barros a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Naldo Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Galo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens de Carvalho went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Rubens de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 played minutes Francisco Alvarez FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Semeno. It was beautiful to see Associação Atlética Campo's Ernesto das Neves in action when he in the 77th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Mendes in the 82nd minute of play forced Francisco Alvarez FC's goalkeeper Augusto Galo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvaldo Matorin was a little too slow when Felipe Etor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 3-2. Augusto Galo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Associação Atlética Campo had played much better football throughout.
