Florian Hekman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wlodzimierz Kochanowski was slow to take the kick. During this time SCs StarS's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Matthijs Ebbinge got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vilmar Seim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tata Martino in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SCs StarS's Edgar Reitsema got a free kick in the 16th minute. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Coelho in the 17th minute of play. Tata Martino kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Vilmar Seim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Hekman in the 18th minute of the match. Florian Hekman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmar Seim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Håkan Alegren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmar Seim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Vilmar Seim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Alegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wlodzimierz Kochanowski struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Vilmar Seim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SCs StarS. Adan Llorienzo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Wlodzimierz Kochanowski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vilmar Seim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

SCs StarS's Robert de Graaf was substituted for Edgar Reitsema. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thiago Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Vilmar Seim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 60 minutes into the match, Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's goalkeeper Vilmar Seim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Gol. SCs StarS's Thiago Gol managed to work through Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Thiago Gol dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 66 minutes Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wlodzimierz Kochanowski who took care of the corner kick. If Tata Martino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's Justo Soter was substituted for Pedro Paulo Coelho. 74 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Fumai came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Thiago Gol in the 75th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Vilmar Seim kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 81st match minute, Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Firu to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes Wlodzimierz Kochanowski shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's Vilmar Seim to catch but Wlodzimierz Kochanowski was lucky. It became 0-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Petr Čech came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC's Justo Soter. But to his dismay, Justo Soter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of SCs StarS booed when Bazofia Vive MZ FORROS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andoitz Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Clementi in the 95th minute of play forced SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Matthijs Ebbinge fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SCs StarS's protests and gave Matthijs Ebbinge a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SCs StarS getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Matthijs Ebbinge hit a great ball. The SCs StarS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SCs StarS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
