Lu Yuan Yin might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luiz Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lu Yuan Yin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute Lu Yuan Yin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rustam Arsenievich's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel van der Bij read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Rustam Arsenievich took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Michel van der Bij to make any attempt to save it. After 45 played minutes Talento Futebol clube got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Pernambucano. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Valdomiro Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. FLU ES fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel van der Bij breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcin Najman to make the kick off. In the 75thth minute of the game Rustam Arsenievich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talento Futebol clube's Michel van der Bij was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Valdomiro Teixeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Michel van der Bij quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Oriche Bouzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Juračka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Michel van der Bij tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nico Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The Talento Futebol clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel van der Bij should have stopped the shot. FLU ES fc's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
