The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Hagström in the 8th minute of play forced S.E.R Corujão's goalkeeper Zygmunt Koprowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to S.E.R Corujão getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Dinei Messias hit a great ball. Cătălin Hildan came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zygmunt Koprowski could save by the left post. Falcão Di Cesare hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cătălin Hildan got free with Zygmunt Koprowski in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zygmunt Koprowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Netto hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Al Mcgregor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo da Costa in the 34th minute of play. Wictor Hagström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Meninos da Vila F.C booed when S.E.R Corujão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Pistol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

S.E.R Corujão's Zygmunt Koprowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Hildan in the 50th minute of play. Luizão Benzema's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zygmunt Koprowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Zygmunt Koprowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cătălin Hildan in the 55th minute of the match. When S.E.R Corujão's Roberto Astudillo in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Messias got free with Al Mcgregor in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wictor Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Astudillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Al Mcgregor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Astudillo in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, S.E.R Corujão's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Dante came free, but Zygmunt Koprowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Pistol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Al Mcgregor made a huge save. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 0-0. Extra-time would have to be played.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Meninos da Vila F.C's Cătălin Hildan started the play with his kick off. If Cătălin Hildan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 104th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 109th minute of the match. 111 minutes into the match, S.E.R Corujão's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Dante came free, but Zygmunt Koprowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinei Messias hit a great freekick 111 minutes into the match. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 0-0. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Luisito Pistol did a quick kick off. The S.E.R Corujão supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S.E.R Corujão would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
